All Cannilav oils and cosmetics are made from natural full-spectrum hemp extract with a high content of associated cannabinoids and contain no forms of crystalline CBD.

Cannilav’s CBD is extracted using the purest method – supercritical CO2 extraction – which leaves no unwanted impurities from the extraction solvent in the final product.
Founders
PharmDr. Martin Helcman, Ph.D.
Graduate of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Masaryk University in Brno, where he defended his rigorous thesis Constituents of Cannabis in 2020 and earned the title PharmDr.
At the same faculty, he continues as a doctoral student at the Department of Natural Drugs. His research focuses on the isolation, characterization, and pharmacological evaluation of cannabinoids and other bioactive compounds from the Cannabis sativa plant. He regularly publishes expert and popular science articles in magazines like Konopí and Legalizace, where he presents the latest findings in pharmacognosy, analytics, and therapeutic cannabis use.
In our team, he serves as a pharmaceutical expert for the development and optimization of cannabis-based medicinal preparations. He combines deep academic knowledge with laboratory analysis practice to ensure a high standard of product quality and maximum efficacy. Martin significantly contributes to the innovative and safe solutions we deliver to our customers.
Ing. Nikolas Balog
Graduate of Mendel University in Brno, cannabis breeding and cultivation specialist with over a decade of experience. Currently pursuing a PhD in botanical sciences with a focus on plant anatomy and physiology; his dissertation explores the effect of external factors on cannabis physiology and morphology.
Since 2015, he has actively engaged in industrial hemp breeding and cultivation. During his studies, he initiated a long-term breeding program at Mendel University, which he continues to develop. He shares his know-how as a consultant for Czech and international companies involved in cannabis production for industrial and medicinal purposes.
At the University Hospital St. Anne in Brno (FNUSA), he works as a grower in the medical cannabis production program, where he is responsible for the entire chain – from plant cultivation to the production of the final medicinal substance. Thanks to his combination of academic research and practical experience, he delivers cutting-edge knowledge, strict quality standards, and innovative solutions for effective, sustainable, and safe cannabis cultivation.
Ing. Patrik Schreiber
Graduate of Mendel University in Brno with an agricultural focus and extensive experience in research on industrial and medical cannabis. During his postgraduate studies, he worked on projects related to phytoremediation, breeding, and the influence of external factors on plant growth.
He worked as a professional consultant for the only licensed producer of medical cannabis in the Czech Republic, gaining valuable experience in industrial production and regulatory compliance. Today, he works at the University Hospital St. Anne in Brno (FNUSA) as a key member of the cultivation team – both as a grower and as the quality control officer in the medical cannabis cultivation program. He ensures that every step from micropropagation to final raw material meets the strictest pharmaceutical quality standards.
Patrik combines scientific approach, deep legislative knowledge, and practical growing skills to deliver reliable and innovative solutions for the efficient production of top-quality medicinal and industrial cannabis to our clients.
