CBD

Cannilav CBD drops are made from a broad-spectrum (fullspectrum) hemp extract containing cannabinoids (CBG, CBN, CBC, THCV), terpenes, and flavonoids. These compounds work synergistically in the body.

The CBD is extracted using tetrafluoroethane extraction.

Catnip

Catnip is native to regions from Southern Europe to Central Asia. It resembles mint in appearance and is known in English as catmint or catnip. In traditional medicine, it is used for colds, nervousness, insomnia, and disorders of the digestive or respiratory system (Formisano, 2011).

The main active ingredient is nepetalactone – a sesquiterpenoid that can make up to 80% of the essential oil obtained through steam distillation (Suschke, 2007).

It also contains beta-caryophyllene, an anti-inflammatory terpenoid with cannabinoid activity commonly found in cannabis, along with flavonoids, phenolic acids, and steroids (Sharma and Cannoo, 2013).

Catnip extract has shown antibacterial activity against gram-positive bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus (Bisht, 2010).

It also inhibits the enzyme phosphodiesterase – helping to relax smooth muscles, and may support treatment for asthma, digestive cramps, or erectile dysfunction (Gilani, 2009). A study on rats confirmed its effect in prolonging erection (Bernardi, 2011).
